This entire thing was an elaborate set-up to something (I won't bother saying what) at the Halloween party at The Ebright Commune, where names were printed on some of the headstones in our graveyard.

However, only some of you attended, and for those that did, things ended prematurely anyway, so things went unfulfilled. However, I hope to some extent you enjoyed playing my little game. For those of you who cared too little, or were a little too slow, here's your answer:

The first clue means the alphabet, and the subsequent numbers spell WEREWOLF

Boris Karloff voiced The Grinch
Lon Chaney was known as "the man of a thousand faces"
Clues four, three & two are wordplay: Loan - Chain - Junior
